For many people who don't warm to the idea of spending a night on a makeshift airport bed booking a room in an airport hotel for a night is the best way to avoid this decidedly undesirable situation. Luckily the majority of the airport hotels in the UK are comfortable, affordable and relaxing. Many offer airport parking as well so if you have a car you can rest safe in the knowledge that it's in safe hands while you're gone.

If your flight is departing from a big international airport there will be many excellent hotel options available to you. At Gatwick Airport in London there are several quality hotels to choose from.
