Amsterdam City Breaks

Amsterdam has a bit of a bad name. Why? In a nutshell, people think that it is a city flooded with sex and drugs. Not that this narrow-minded view is true... Amsterdam is in fact home to some of the most famous art galleries and museums in the world. It also has one of the smaller populations in Europe. Despite it being a big city, there are less people in it than Dublin. Amsterdamians themselves are as chilled out as they come. Their relaxed and welcoming attitude make it a mecca for travelers who want to immerse themselves in the liberal Dutch way of life. Don't enjoy it too much, though, or you won't realise that your week has already passed.......

If, however, you have some level of self control, here are some places to visit. An Amsterdam canal cruise for a start is a 'must do', allowing tourists to see the beauty of Amsterdam from the waterways. These cruises offer some great views of most of the site-seeing hot-spots in Amsterdam too. Other things on the tick-list are a visit to the Van Gough museum and a leisurely afternoon in a cafè. Let's face it, cafè culture is a huge part of Amsterdam's culture.... Enjoy a pancake while you sip a mug of coffee and reeeeeeelax. The days just pass you by...
