The city of Paris is divided in urban districts called arrondissements, each one of which can be very different from the other, so before you book your hotel you should know what you’re looking for from your Paris city break. For example, if you’re in search of good night life, you should definitely book your accommodation in the Saint-Germain des Prés or Latin Quarter areas, both renowned for their bistros and lively atmosphere.

If, instead, you are looking for a posh and more sophisticated area, then go for the Champs–Élysées. Montmarte, with its subtle and unique atmosphere is ideal for a romantic stay, and is also a very arty area.
