Camping Holidays France

For those unused to camping, France is an excellent destination for budding campers. Most campsites in France have good washing and cleaning facilities and some of the larger campsites provide more luxurious facilities such as swimming pools and leisure facilities. It is worth doing a little research as you may get a much better return for some careful choosing.

If booking during a busy period, travellers are advised to book well in advance, especially if booking in a coastal region or better equipped campsites. Camping is strictly regulated in France and it is not advised to camp outside official sites. That said, given the regulation that exists, all of the campsites are graded and travellers can expect a certain degree of quality.

You should first decide what part of France you want to travel to or what sites you want to see. You can then search the internet which has many excellent sites outlining the locations of sites and the facilities they have to offer. If you are taking your car, you might want to factor in journey time to and from the site. Camping trips in France provide a great option for families with young children as many of the campsites organise activities for kids and there are likely to be many kids for them to play with. If you don’t fancy cooking your own food many of the sites have great restaurants and bars, so you don’t have to give up all your comforts.
