The historic city of Dubrovnik, in the south of Croatia, is the most popular of the Croatian cities and is well served with direct flights from all over Europe. Flight duration from London to Dubrovnik is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes. The city’s international airport is located 23 km southeast from the centre and is easily accessible in about 30 minutes by taxi, bus or pre-booked shuttles.

Amongst the airlines flying to Dubrovnik airport from the UK are Jet2, Flybe, Croatia Airlines and British Airways. Jet2 reaches Dubrovnik from Belfast, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester airports. Flybe from Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Newcastle and Southampton. Both are low-cost airlines and often have amazing fares to Croatia but you must book well in advance if you want to grab a special deal, especially if you’re planning on going around summer time.

Croatia Airlines and British Airways are more costly but usually more comfortable and less hassle. The Croatian national airline flies to Dubrovnik direct from Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Newcastle with fares starting from just under 300GBP return this June. BA have reasonable fares starting at around 150GBP return this June and July.
