Fly to London here

big Heathrow and Gatwick are perhaps the airports that people would immediately think of being the biggest, and with most flights coming in – particularly transatlantic and from other long haul destinations. You may find cheaper deals flying into the other London airports however.

City Airport is small and tucked away by Docklands but since it caters primarily for the business traveller market, there are lots of flights within the UK and Ireland, and also to mainland Europe. If you work in the City and want a quick journey to the airport this may be your best bet.

Stansted and Luton are adding destinations to their timetable all the time. Stansted is the larger of the two and also has long haul flights available. There is a Stansted Express trainline from the airport straight into Liverpool Street – the heart of the city – which runs every half an hour and takes under an hour. Luton is particularly good for flights from continental Europe and from within the UK, and is on the Thameslink trainline so again, has good links to London.

Flights can be picked up on Easyjet, British Airways, Ryanair and bmi amongst other major airlines.
