Flying to Porto and looking for good deals?

Porto and surrounding area have much to offer the tourist and visitor. Along the coast are holiday resorts such as Espinho, busy ports such as Matosinhos offering amazing seafood, or traditional fishing towns like Povoa di Varzim. Inland there are towns such as Amarante with majestic mansions overlooking the river.

The main tourist attraction is probably the town of Vila Nova de Gaia. These are the lodges where Port wine is blended and aged, and tasting sessions are offered. You can also take a river cruise from here along the famous River Douro, traditionally the start of the shipping route for the export of Port.

Easyjet, Lufthansa and Ryanair all offer cheap, regular flights to Porto from the UK. It is well worth looking at their websites to see what the best deal is, especially if you can be flexible with your dates. Price comparison websites are also a good starting point for potentially better deals with less well known carriers.
