Bored of sun, sea and sand and fancy something a bit different? Why not try a break in Las Vegas and immerse yourself in the amazing spectacle that is this incredible city. With a plethora of hotels to choose from, each with a different theme, and so much to do that you can go back time and time again, Vegas is certainly not for the faint hearted.

There are oodles of free shows up and down The Strip from the amazing light shows on Fremont Street in Downtown to the famous Bellagio fountains or the Treasure Island pirate ship battle. Of course you can always gamble the night away in one of the hundreds of casinos in all the hotels or in Downtown Vegas and enjoy the complimentary drinks provided by the casino waitresses as you feed the penny slot machines.

For those with a more adventurous streak, the Grand Canyon is a short helicopter flight away: try the sunset trip which includes a landing in the Canyon itself and champagne aperitifs before flying back along The Strip all lit up.

There is one direct flight a day from London Gatwick to Vegas with Virgin Atlantic, and we found that it’s much cheaper to book direct with the airlines and then the hotel of your choice rather than the package deals. You’ll have a ball.. put a $50 on black 37 for me would you?
