Italy Villas – Take Your Pick

Villas in Italy are many and widespread; as the traditional style of country house is synonymous with Tuscany, don’t forget to check out other regions as well, they all offer something uniquely different yet typically Italian.

One of the great things about Italy’s rich history is that each town you go to is diverse and different from the one you just left. Get off the beaten track, and visit some of the smaller villages for a true taste of Italian life.

Villa del Rivo in Marciano, Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast has been designed by home decorators, and is a lush piece of paradise with panoramic views across the Gulf of Naples from which can be seen the islands surrounding. Split over three levels with eleven bedrooms, sleeping 22 people, it’s perfect for a large group. It seems expensive initially looking at the prices in total, but when split by the maximum person occupancy, it’s not bad for a whole week, and works out cheaper than a nice hotel.

Villa di Castiglione in Castiglione di Ravello is an Amalfi Coast dream! Overlooking right on the water with terraces for sunbathing and a private access to the sea for cliff-side swimming, you can’t get much better than this. With bougainvillea covered archways on a terrace for dining with sea views, it sleeps up to 16 guests.

You would swear you were in Tuscany at Villa Volsinii but you would actually be in the nearby Orvieto in the rich region of Umbria. Set amongst vineyards and rolling hills, this is a countryside getaway that would live up to anyone’s dream. Sleeping up to ten in this spacious dwelling, there is room for all.
