London undoubtedly has some of the best, and oldest, hotels in the world and there a great variety to choose from. It can be difficult for those visiting to decide where to stay and what kind of hotel they should be looking for in London and what price they should be paying.

The first thing to decide is where you want to stay in London, how long you are staying for and whether you mind taking the underground or would prefer, where possible, to walk to the various sites. If you are staying for only a few days and want to take in some of the sites, there is little point in staying out in the suburbs and having to take a large amount of public transport. That said the tube is very quick and convenient for getting around London.

Some of the best hotels in London are located around the centre of the city. If you are looking for something a bit special, have a look at the Milestone Hotel. This is the ultimate in five star luxury and while not cheap, is an excellent choice if you are looking to splash out. If you are looking for something a bit cheaper try the City Inn Westminster. This hotel has an excellent location and while not at the bottom end of the cost scale, is well worth the price for the central location.
