Malta flights

Malta International Airport is the only airport in Malta and serves the whole country. It is located between Luqa and Gudja, 5km southeast of Valletta, the capital of Malta.

Malta International Airport is easily accessible with the main road from the airport to Marsa leading straight to Valletta. The city centre and the airport are both clearly signposted along this road. A frequent bus service also operates from between the airport and Valletta. The number 8 bus leaves from outside the check-in hall of the airport. The Goza-Airport shuttle bus is also in operation and links the airport with the Gozo ferry services at the Cirkewwa sea passenger terminal. Fixed fare taxis are available from the airport with White Taxis to all areas of Malta. A handful of car rental operators are also present. There are no hotels on the grounds of the airport and the nearest hotel is located 10km away.

Many international airlines operate services to and from Malta International Airport including Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines from the UK.
