Getting to Barbados Grantley Adams International Airport is the largest airport in the region and is the point of entry for most visitors. The airport is situated in the south-east of the island, about 13km (8 miles) from Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. While there are buses that run from outside the airport to Bridgetown and onwards up the coast, the most convenient mode of transport to your hotel is taxi. The airport is quite large and there are plenty of services available there, such as money exchange and ATMs. The Barbados Tourism Authority has a desk at the airport and can give you help booking a hotel, finding onward transport or information brochures for planning your holiday activities.
