For those who enjoy a slower pace, why not take the trenino verde, a lovely old train which will take you through some of the more scenic parts of the island. This may also give you an opportunity to take in some of the many historic sites and monuments, most notably Roman architecture and ruins.

At night, tourists can expect great local cuisine which focuses on fresh seafood, wild boar and suckling pig and excellent local wine. Afterwards, the busier towns of Olbia, Cagliari, Alghero and Sassari have a bustling nightlife. Whatever you’re looking for, Sardinia has holidays for everyone!
