We're all going on a Winter holiday!

Winter holidays needn’t be spent around the fireplace in your living room watching reruns of Neighbours drinking hot cocoa. Why not take a break and travel somewhere different this winter? Perhaps you like skiing, maybe you want a romantic getaway, or is city-hopping more your thing?

The Dolomites in Italy is one of the most beautiful places to exercise your skiing prowess. The skiing season the Dolomites boasts sunny weather and plenty of powdery snow, with slopes and trails for all abilities. The 'Superski Dolomiti' area is linked by over 450 lifts which serve 1220km of slopes, incorporating 12 ski areas. You can buy a pass for the entire network. There are good road links, and regular bus services and Bolzano is the regional tourist centre.

For a romantic holiday spot consider the Black Forest in Germany. Famous for The Black Forest maids, Black Forest farms, Black Forest gateau, Bollenhut hats and cuckoo clocks, it also has thermal baths, ski resorts and scenery that looks like illustrations from a picture book.

For city-lovers check out the mysterious and vibrant Prague this winter. There’s the gorgeous 9th Century Prague Castle, the Old Town and the New Town, the Charles Bridge and more.
