Why not go on holiday to the SUnshine State in the US this year?

Known as the Sunshine State and not without good reason. The beaches along Florida’s coast attract large volumes of holidaymakers every year to soak up the sun. There are a number of points of entry if you are flying into Florida. These include Orlando International Airport, Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and you can get direct flights from London from some of the larger operators, including American Airlines and British Airways.

Once you arrive you can join the crowds on the famous beaches. The best of these are undoubtedly Panama City Beach, Daytona Beach, and West Palm Beach. If you are travelling with families there are some great theme parks to visit. The best known of these, of course, is Disney World. Sea World and Universal Studios are also well worth a look.

If you want to get away from the tourist centres, why not take a hike or go camping in one of Florida’s national parks. Everglades National Park is worth a special trip and has stunning scenery. If you are interested in fishing there is great sea and fresh water fishing. The State also benefits from beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables and there is some fantastic food. Really there is something for everyone and a lot on offer in the Sunshine State.
